the future of the Venezuelan Air Force
Last month the Venezuelan air force retired its aging French made Dassault Mirage 50's, the aircraft which was introduced in 1961, it had been upgraded several times but it's day had finally come.
The Mirage 50 used to make up the only attack fighter in the entire Venezuelan air force, Venezuela also possessed 21 F-16's delivered in 1983 intended to replace their fleet of Mirage III interceptors and Mirage 5 ground-attack aircraft, parts for these were suspended around 2004 because Hugo Chavez is a major threat to America.

So in 2006 Chavez offered to sell these F-16's to Iran also under a 30 year arms embargo on their F-14 fleet and their older F-5's and F-4's which they have still managed to keep flying.
In response to this, Sean McCormack, the U.S. State Department spokesman, warned Venezuela and suggested: "Without the written consent of the United States, Venezuela can't transfer these defense articles, and in this case F-16s, to a third country".
Well he is right about one thing, they are for defence even if given to Iran, and since did Americans give themselves the right to start policing the world anyway?

In July of 2005 Venezuela purchased 24 Sukhoi Su-30's from Russia since the embargo on spares on their F-16 fleet and the fact that they have only managed to keep 12 operational since then!
Venezuela are currently in talks with Russia for the Su-35 a truly astounding 4th generation fighter that if flown properly could kick American fourth and fifth generation fighter (the Washington Post have finally admitted the F-22 is a heap of shit), now if arms agreements with Russia process and America continues to threaten to hunt down and kill Chavez like a dog then we'll see Venezuela marrying up an impressive air defence along with hi-tech Sukhoi aircraft would make it an impressive force!

HUGO CHAVEZ is a great president, and strategist;HE acted in self defense against Bush ,one issue that nobody talks about,is that he was kiddnapped by the CIA. and came back victoriously; The United States is a great country; but the American media is full of lies and special interest; if America seeks open commerce with the Chinese it is hipocritical to want to fight Chavez who is investing in the future of Latin America;MAYBE WE should find a way to work toghether with the Venezuelans and other Latins to destroy the drug gangs that are destroying this hemisfere instead of persuing the obsolete ideal of red neck imperialism to supress progress arround the world;PETER ASSING /PRODUCER

Well I can't disagree that the US media is all lies but the venezuelan media is even worse! The Venezuelan media is Chavez; he is a chaotic tyrant who steals from his already impoverished country to buy himself BMWs. He is a hypocritical warlord who wants to unite all Latin America under a single socialist flag. The only country who seems to be at war with the drug cartels is Colombia whilst Chavez is fuelling the left wing insurgents to continue with drug production and a four decade long war with Colombia. Chavez has only achieved progress into an even more impoverished country.
