around long enough to write about

I was going to write about myself and this site when it hit the two or three year mark, but the two year mark was last May and I was doing up this version of the site back then.

So like all snobby bloggers who get about 500 visitors daily for some time I've decided to write about myself, my blog or website (if you still talk English) and it's history because things like that matter.

My original intent was to make the site look gray and boring but fill every corner of it with short posts about interesting and yet again strange facts.

That's where the domain www.pauliddon.net came in since it wasn't really about me but about things that I was interested in or thought I was cool that I found on the internet.

However the poor design amounted to about 100 articles about one thing or another, from military to poorly written political articles that weren't very timeless.

I redone the site again to a red and yellow home page relating to random things that were stupid or annoyed me, while this attracted a lot more visitors the whole idea of it wasn't very productive, that being said the I Am Legend rant was worth keeping for the new site.

The new site being the present blogger layout, which suits exactly what I right about which is mainly opinions on various things and the odd things I find cool, except not like the original idea of a gray site you could get lost in looking at random things with little relevance, (like Superbad.com).

These days the site looks like any other blog, the tags on the sidebar explain it, I write about everything or anything (except the politics of Macedonia).

The overall inspiration to write a blog about one thing or another came from Dez Iddon.com, the site had variety and didn't suck and had Iddon in the URL.

I recently I got the chance to contribute to a blog about Iran mainly writing about military or war related topics. Which means that this blog isn't clogged with entries over each other about the actions of the discredited IRIAF in the Iran Iraq War, but it also gave me a chance to put my name to a more serious project.

Other sites I link to are worth a read, English Russia is similar to what I was gunning for with this original site (except about cool things everywhere in the world) and is well worth checking out, I would also recommend what some would call a laughable link and that would be Therays Word.

The blog has no design initiative and is laid out on a MySpace blog, that being said it's well worth reading for the content, he's head is on his shoulders and not in his asshole which is evident from what he writes about, some stories that obviously involved some thinking and were put forward for the readers enjoyment, something bloggers these days don't seem to give a shit about.

Hopefully I'll have another two years of spreading interesting stuff, opinions ideas and some random stuff I find online!
